Hi..

I am currently trying to setup a server with automated Bittorrent downloading. Does anyone know of a CLI based Bittorrent that supports Upnp?

I love all the features of Rtorrent, such as watch folders and things, but it doesn't support Upnp so my downloads are slow.

Anyone know of any handy guides?

Thanks in advance.

What do you need UPnP for. Can't you just declare some open ports in your router/firewall to accomplish the same task ?

I tried this... seems to not work as well.

At the moment im using Rtorrent on the server. Download and upload speeds are at about 10k a second... even after I open ports on the router.

If I use Transmission on the desktop with Upnp switched on.. it downloads the same torrents at about 750k a second.

Seems like my router isn't particularly good - so, Upnp would be nice.

Also, not everyone knows how to open ports on a router so Upnp is the perfect solution.
