FireFox 3 RC1 in Ubuntu 8.04

FINALLY the Mozilla FireFox Release Candidate is out! <(^_^<)

But there is a problem, I have Ubuntu 8.04 64bit and I want to update my FireFox Beta 5 to the Release Candidate but it won't update through FireFox i have no idea where to go from there......

I have downloaded the Release Candidate from Mozilla's website. but i have no idea what to do with it.....

nice to get a RC, thanx for the heads up gnrathon, testing it was simple. just unpack to a dir of your choice, go there and run ./firefox (close any instance of firefox prior to this) and u'r in 3.0 RC.. this does nothing to your beta 5 (I think :D) just some addons and stuff like that gets disabled but turned on again when you run beta 5..

Edit: and just after posting I noticed a folder in my bookmarks toolbar have inherited something from the RC :D nothing harmful at all, "most visited"
