View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to support Creative Zen V in Ubuntu?

May 23rd, 2008, 01:54 AM
I have a Creative Zen V mp3 player, and I am looking for any help as how to get ubuntu to recognize it (drivers, etc.). I checked the Creative site and found nothing of any use.

I use the Creative Zen V Plus with Ubuntu using the gnomad2 package in the Ubuntu repositories. Gnomad2 has worked very well for me.

i found gnomad2 to be very good for my zen touch too, but i recently found kzenexplorer in synaptic, and if you dont mind kde applications, it looks a little prettier, and seems to have more functionality.

why not try them both? you've nothing to lose!

oh - and it took me an embarrasingly long time to realise that kzenexplorer works on drag-and-drop! so ill mention it now to you ;-)

Another +1 for gnomad2.

Although it looks like I have a k-app to try...
