Hello All,

I tried to watch the 'Get a Mac' commercials on apple's website using Firefox on Ubuntu 7.10. Unfortunately nothing happened (blank screen). I have the mozilla-mplayer plugin installed and I can watch other embedded video but why wont this site work? I realize that there are other ways to get the 'Get a Mac' commercials but that is not what concerns me. If I can't access this content what else can Firefox not do?! Am I missing some important plugin or package? is there another web browser that may work better? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

I'm having the same problems at other sites. You tube videos play fine (sorta) at the You Tube site, but when You Tube videos are embedded at other sites there is nothing, just a blank page. My quick fix was to start using Opera. Everything works perfectly in Opera.

Same thing with Opera. No playback for .mov embedded. Flash works fine in most cases. How do I play .mov embedded in a website without Quick time? any ideas?

Just installed Win XP on my friend's machine. This is a Firefox issue not a Linux issue. Mac ads played fine in IE7 only after installing Quicktime and ActiveX (whatever that is) But Firefox 3 on Win XP still won't play mac ads (or any other .mov) even with quicktime installed. Any ideas?
