i have kubuntu 7.10 installed
i want to upgrade it to Kubuntu 8.04
However i dont have a internet connection
i do have a Live Kubuntu 8.04 CD

how can i upgrade it?
i dont want to reinstall it..its foolish and not possible for me
neither i want to use internet. it will hamper someone who is downloading a ISO.
When all the update files are in my LIVE CD...then why reinstall? Why not upgrade?

To do upgrade from a CD, you have to use the alternate CD, now the live one, and you should also note that it's not as reliable as the internet one.

you can find the instructions in the following link:
Upgrading using the alternate CD/DVD (http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading#head-7311a7de9fdf1ca310c6937460c0a9d33f54279d)

You need to get the "alternate" kubuntu 8.04 CD. The live CD can't be used to upgrade...

and you should also note that it's not as reliable as the internet one.

i won't recommend that because it's not as reliable as the internet one.

What are you basing this info on? The alternate CD is _every_ bit as reliable as the Live CD. There is no issue of reliability. I use _only_ alternate CDs for upgrading.
