I have an iBook 500 that's giving me some problems. I can't get Audacity do install on it in OSX 10.0.3, and besides I'm not a fan of the way the OXS interface works. Not good when I'm trying to use this thing as a mobile podcast recording station. I figured the best thing to do would be to throw on an OS I'm familiar with, one that I trust. Obviously, my choice was Ubuntu. In this specific instance, xUbuntu Dapper LTS.

Since I don't want to set this thing up for internet use, and I like to have .debs for off-line installs in case of a need for hard drive wipes anyway, I'd like to download Dapper-compatible .debs for the Restricted Extras, at least for the audio codecs.

Would there be any problems simply downloading the most recent .deb packages, or would I have to get ones specifically for Dapper? I've got the following files in my download manager ready to start when xUbuntu Dapper finished downloading:
