It says:

Windows XP SP2 and Vista Only

The Photosynth technology preview runs only on Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista.

Nothing new, Macslow made Lowfat to do this sort of thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkrM4ymkiDo&feature=related. I'm using it right now and it's great considering it's nowhere near finished.

yes... but it is not only about zooming and switching between the pictures... if you watch the video i posted to the end, you will see the bit about the church... that you can create a visual image of all the images from a certain database and move like it was there, live... all pictures interacting with each other... adding info to one picture would allow other users taken the picture from the same spot immediately to have the info on their pictures

macslows project is excellent, i remember when he announced it i was really happy about it... but it was so long ago i have lost touch with it... its excellent, but it has a different function :)

I like when he zoomed in on the technical specifications for the car ad. It's bad enough that people selling things will have the fine print at the bottom - pretty soon it's going to be even finer and miniscule because they'll assume everyone has 300 mpx capability...

Seadragon seems cool :D great app! (the dev actually said it's the first time he got cheered so much for developing a Microsoft Product xD)

lowfat seems nice too, but the seadragon technology is waaay ahead (yeah, Microsoft's R&D budget is also WAAAAAY ahead of the typical open source dev. Linux better anyway so no trouble :p lol)

Wow! Respect for the Microsoft developers!

yeah... i mean Microsoft "acquired" it a year ago (as said in the vid)... it bought it from some developers who probably had great ideas, but no money...

Acquired or "took over"...

Yep, it's no secret Microsoft and Apple buy innovation rather than create it, though Apple do more of it.

yes, indeed.

it's just something to toy with imo. it's still awesome though!

This is quite old, why is it popping up on the net again? A friend of mine sent me a link recently as well. Or have there been new developments ?
