I really cant find out download the Gnu Compiler collection from theyre homesite... it opens in a FTP and i cant just drag and drop from the FTP to my Desktop...

Im really a Newbie to Linux and hope someone can help me download it!

EDIT: What do you mean it "opens in a FTP"? If you are getting a view like this: ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ISO-IMAGES-i386/7.0/

You don't drag and drop anything. You click and save.

But for you, you should install through the repositories. The sticky explains how.
