I was wondering if there was a way i could upgrade my 32 bit hardy heron to 64 bit without doing a clean install?

almost impossible, faster and easier to backup your home and etc and do a reinstall

There may be a way(heavy emphasis on may), but in any case it would be highly dangerous since there have been no records of anyone having succeeded let alone tried.

You are better off doing a reinstall.

haha right. i guess i can kill my entire OS by tring to install wireless drivers. might just leave it a while. cheers.
