Hi,
I have a problem with Pidgin on Ubuntu 8.04, however this is not the case with my laptop where I had Ubuntu 7.10 and then upgraded to 8.04.
I have installed Ubuntu 8.04 from scratch on my new Desktop workstation. When I use pidgin, I never get a notification (highlights) when the chat window of my buddy is minimized. This is not the case on my laptop which has the same Pidgin version, it works perfectly file.
So if the buddy window is minimized and the buddy has sent me a text chat, I never get to know as the minimized window never highlights or indicates.
Please let me know if there is a solution to this. I tried uninstalling pidgin and also removing the configuration folder .purple. Nothing has changed.
