the installation software wont run on my laptop.... it says "You need at least 256MB of memory to run the installer!"

help plz :-k

and yes i have 256MB of ram on the laptop

Does your video card take some ram?If it does try install Xubuntu alternate CD. (http://www.xubuntu.org/get)
