What do you mean key sounds? For every key you press you hear a sound?

Go to System>Preferences>Sounds and in the last tab disable the first option ("untick" it)

Double click the speaker icon in the tray area. I don't remember exactly this (i am not home) but through preferences you can select which components you want to see in order to configure the volume levels. Hope your solution is in there
