Hi,

I have a Logitech cordless keyboard and Hardy x64. I've been looking for a way to display on screen when keys like Caps and Num lock are activated, since there are no indicators for that on the keyboard (probably to conserve power). Does anyone know of anything like that? I've been searching for it but came up with nothing.

Regards,
anders.

Hi,
I've been looking for a way to display on screen when keys like Caps and Num lock are activated,

Right click your gnome panel, choose "Add to Panel" and select "Keyboard indicator", then Add, then Close; right click to configure which indicators to display.

"Keyboard indicator" actually only displayed the current keyboard layout, and there was no configuration options for that. However, you were right about the panel applet; i found an applet called lock-keys-applet, which works perfectly.

I didn't really know about panel applets before.

Thanks!
