Hello, I want to shift my 7.10 install to another, faster computer. The 7.10 version is updated and I have downloaded the 8.04 alternate ISO. My questions are :
1) I have used USBC4Win and "Paragon Hard Drive Manager" successfully for cloning windows to another disk. Will it work for Ubuntu?
2) At present I have my /home on another partition and a 2nd HDD for backups. When I shift (clone) to new computer with its own 2 HDD's, will I have to make any changed to configuration files? If yes, which ones?

This (http://www.remastersys.klikit-linux.com/) is good for transfering your entire system.

The backup option is the easiest way to go, as it copies /home and all your configuration is carried over.

Just keep in mind that it copies everything in your /home folder. If you have music, pictures or videos, you should move those to your second hard drive.
