Helo all
I am having difficulty with performance in gnome or any windows manager for x for that matter.
I am using ubuntu via vmware on a host box of winxp.
I have installed vmware-tools as advised, though the simple instructions of just double click the vmtools icon and follow the instructions was TOTALY WRONG.
If I drag a window, say a browser or console window across the screen. i get monumental tracerss and I am having to fight with typing also.
Every now and again I get an issue of "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" etc happening.
The video driver/kernel for my setup is obviously not working as should be.
Is there any way I can install the nvidia kernel myself seperately ?
