View Full Version : [other] Copying installed Firefox extensions
May 19th, 2008, 12:26 AM
I have Debian Lenny on my Desktop and Ubuntu 8.04 on my Laptop. I want to know if its possible to automagically install the FF extensions I have on my Desktop onto my Laptop, something similar to the way you just export your bookmarks and import them on a different computer.
Thanks in advance.

Does that work with different Firefox Versions? In Debian im still running FF2Again, it has always worked for me. HOWEVER, to be on the safe side, make sure you back up your current .mozilla file (rename it .mozilla~ ) then copy file you want to your home directory. Fire up Firefox and see what happens. The very worse is that Firefox will refuse to start up, in which case, go ahead and delete .mozilla and rename .mozilla~ to .mozilla
