This is your target.

You could put a small smiley-face sticker on top of it.

Well, that one looks like a sticker. I'm sure a little scrapping will get it off. The one on my keyboard appears to be more of some type of paint. I'm sure a little scrapping will work there as well.
Wow, I just noticed how old this thing it. The Windows logo on this key looks like the Windows 95 logo. :lolflag:

Left one pops out the main menu, right one is the compose key, logo doesn't bother me.

I was hoping for something a little more muted like this from tamoneya's post:

Thanks for the tips tho, I'm going to go get a nail file and see if this thing will come off.

Yes I do. Okay I removed the windows sticker with a regular nail file, now I have a blank key. What do you guys think about this? It's a technique for making your own key using nail polish.

I'm going to do it tomorrow if I can think of / find a perfect image to put there. Any recommendations?

Maybe not exactly the perfect solution, but I went and bought an apple keyboard the minute I noticed it on sale at Best Buy.

if you are into model planes or radio controlled cars, you might have some spare paint at home, if not use your sister's/mother's nail polish.
If I had to get rid off it, my choices would be:
1. tux sticker
2. scrape it off
3. paint/polish

I've heard scraping it off with a sugar cube works.

Here's what I did with mine:

First I scratched the ink off with a pocket knife. I did this quite carefully so the key had no scratches and was smooth. I then used a fine permanent marker, the type that works on CD's and finally sprayed it with fixative (hair spray would work) I let it dry for 30 mins.
Note, I pulled the key out to spray it.
With a black keyboard (like the one I am typing on now) I suppose twink or something like that would work but this one I just scratched it off and have a blank key.

I am not a Freudian but I wonder what he would have said about this fixation for removing the windows Icon. I didn't know it was such big deal for some people, are any of you secretly dual booting?

You could put a small smiley-face sticker on top of it.
That's what I did - BIG improvement!
