cant switch workspace

i cant seem to switch between workspaces. the keyboard shortcut doesnt do anything and neither does physically clicking on the workspace. any help?

Hi,

I had similar problems and I quickly solved it by right clicking desktop and selecting "Change Desktop Background"

Then on the Visual Effects Tab I selected "None"

After that I was able to change workspaces.

Not a great solution but it works for me as the effects aren't a high priority and my laptop's graphics card isn't that well suited for them anyways.
