In Gutsy Gibbon, when I mounted a disk from Live CD, it displayed an icon for the disk. At least this gave me visual feedback that a disk was mounted.
Not so, when running Hardy Heron Live CD - when a disk is mounted I have to issue a mount command from another terminal window at the user level to verify that the disk is mounted, i.e. other than the output I get from issuing the mount command as root with the -v parameter, just to make sure.
How can I modify the environment (Gnome Nautilus configuration - I'm guessing) to get a disk icon to display when I mount the disk (not normally mounted when in a Live CD environment).
Thanks,

P.S. I consider this a bug by omission rather than commission - i.e. users are rather fond of visual feedback for items like this!
P.P.S. Sorry if the prefix needs to be Gnome rather than Ubuntu.
