Hi,

I am trying to install XUBUNTU 8.04 on my quite old PC.
AMD Athlon 1100 Mhz, VIA KM133 chipset and 256 MB SDRAM.
Whenever I try to install, midway in installation monitor turns off. I am not able to figureout why ? Can any one address this issue?

HI and welcome, what is the model of the graphics card? There is a screen saver if you are installing from the option "try Ubuntu without changes to your system" or something to that effect. You may try just from the option install Ubuntu. The memory of 256mb is quite low.
