Xubuntu 8.04
I tried to play an MP3 on my new Xubuntu install. It needed to to search for a codec. Found one and asked to install. I OKed it and waited ....... It locked up. I couldn't close the installer either.
The same thing happened with the upgrade manager.
Is there something that I need to set?
