I am considering the purchase of a Linux-based notebook to replace my wife's Windows XP machine. Vista does not dazzle me, and so in looking over the Eee PC (or similar smaller Linux-based machines) I am curious if a Linux-based machine would be a good fit for her.
I have experience with Windows but none with Linux. Her MLS system requires Internet Explorer and uses ActiveX add-ons.
Does Linux (assumedly through WINE or similar) support the possibility of "fooling" the MLS to allow for a Linux-based machine to access successfully?
