Hello all!

I am attempting to build the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi driver but am running into a bunch of problems. I downloaded the XfiDrv_linux package from ( http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp?searchString=XFiDrv_Linux ). In the instructions it calls for:

1) You must have the fully configured source for the Linux kernel and
ALSA which you want to use for this device driver. Partial installed
kernels (e.g. From distribution makers) may be unusable for this
action.

I am totally unsure as to where I can locate the required files and what to do with them. If anyone has any experience installing this driver can you please help me through this?

Thank you very much for entertaining this noobie question/plea for help.

With total respect

Thank you

Bill
