Now available from mozilla!
How long until it's available from the ubuntu repositories via synaptic package manager?
Or how do I install the mozilla version?

And does anyone know how it is, compared with beta5 ?

How lame is the search tool ? I searched for "firefox3 rc1" and it didn't anything - not even this message with the giveaway title!

I've been using the nightly builds on Mac OS X and Windows and there have been quite a few changes since beta 5, but the Ubuntu version may have other specific changes that the general Linux client doesn't.

It's just a guess but they'll likely wait the few weeks until the final version is released and make it available through the normal channels.

Thanks ... champing at the bit here - beta5 is not so great & I'd like to move.
Downloaded rc1, but the instllation instructions were more than thin.
