I upgraded my Toshiba Portege 4000 recently and Kubuntu now hangs about a third of the way through booting. If I esc during the grub menu and choose to boot the 2.6.22-14-generic kernel, (instead of the default 2.6.22-16), then everything runs ok.
I think the default boot hangs at '... load manual drivers', but I couldn't swear to that.
Should I just delete the -16 kernel and live with this, or should I try and resolve the problem and if so, how?
Thanks for any tips.
