I am trying to boot my Windows XP Home machine (Acer Aspire) from an Ubuntu Hardy Heron CD. During the reboot process, I held down the F2 key and got the BIOS setup screen. The hard drive boot option was set as default, naturally. When I selected the CD boot option and hit 'enter', nothing happened. I would really appreciate help with this.

Thanks in advance!

When you insert the cd while running windows, what do you see when you browse it?

Thanks for your response. When I inserted the CD, I got a window with Ubuntu options for demo and full install, etc. I chose the demo and full install. Then it asked for reboot (as far as I remember). That is when I pressed F2, because it was booting Windows.
