Good day to all at the Café.

While online FAQs and documentation are excellent tools, no reference document or FAQ can replace a professional, well-written book.

In this topic, I wish to maintain a list of user-reviewed books on the subjects such as:

Ubuntu (All variants)
Popular Ubuntu software
Linux
IT/Networking
Systems administration
Application programming/Languages/Web programming
Hacking/Security

The intention is a focus on Debian-based operating systems here, though feel free to give links that pertain to other operating systems.

I will attempt to maintain a sorted list in this post, with linkbacks to your reviews!

I have at least one book in mind to review for this guide, and I will post it within the next day.

FORMAT OF REVIEW:

Make the title of your thread reply "Book Review" (This is important for me)

Content of post:

Standard bibliographical format

OR

Amazon's "Product Details" section

OR

Title:
Author:
Year Published:

FOLLOWED BY

Rating: Preferably an "Out of five" scale.
Review: Description of what you thought of the book.
Can be as long or short as necessary, though
be sure it's informative, and useful!

NOTE: Only one review per post, please. This makes it easier for me to link to it, and easier to the readers to find what they're looking for. Additionally, do not post anything EXCEPT your review in a review post. You can discuss reviews in this thread as much as you like, so don't worry about talking!

Thank you for your participation!
