in the initial days of the internet, the myth was that 75% of all internet traffic was porn related. I don't know to what extent that stat was correct, but there werent many multimedia sites at that time, so the claim might be true.

even in 2003, as much as 25% of internet traffic was porn. I presume with the increase in numbers of more "normal" sites the porn traffic ratio is probably less now.

Pretty much for everything. Motorcycle parts, music, information, e-mail, school research, networking, shopping, selling, finding old friends, making new friends, gaming, etc. Oh yeah, porn too.;) It's a multi purpose super tool. I love the internet!
