Since upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04 I have the following problem. I have also done a clean install of 8.04 and still have the same problem.

When I copy a file from one directory or partition to another the original Date Time stamp is not preserved. I did not have this problem with Ubuntu 7.10. Is there a way that I can preserve the date stamp on files when I copy and paste? I know you can do it from the command line using the CP and the -p switch. But I do not want to use the command line as I transfer files between several drives with different file systems. I did not have this problem with Ubuntu 7.10 or any other distro that I have used.. Is this a bug in Ubuntu 8.04? any help would be appreciated. I am a new user of Linux.
