View Full Version : [SOLVED] Ubuntu asks for password for non-secure wireless.

I'm still a beginner at Ubuntu so there may be something I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to connect to my home linksys network which is non-secure with no password. Every time I try to connect, it asks me for my password. But there is no password! Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

it might be looking for the password you set up for Ubuntu? Your 'root' password. Maybe try that one.

It is actually asking me for a WEP password, it is not asking for an administrator password. It is behaving like I am trying to connect to a secure wireless network.
