I've been looking around for a way to rdp to my Ubuntu test machine at work from my xp machine with out using VNC.

I had found freeNX but was not sure how well it worked.

Can anyone give testimony to freeNX or other solution?

I've never used it (FreeNX) myself, but I've heard good things about it.

When I have used FreeNX in the past, it worked really well.
As long as you are ok with installing the FreeNX client on your XP machine.
I was using it when I had openbox as a DE and I did not like the way x11vnc
or vnc4server would handle it.

Have you had a chance to try it?

No. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I'm still trying to get my Ubuntu test machine to authenticate to the DCs in our Windows Domain with likewise.

DNS not working with it. don't know why.
