View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wifi connected but not usable?

May 15th, 2008, 02:40 AM
I was using wifi just fine for sometime. I clicked on the network manager icon on the system tray (I didn't select or deselect anything), and for some reason since then my wireless has been...weird.
My computer connects to wireless networks, but then when I open a broswer, messaging or anything else that relies on the internet, nothing happens.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!!

When I type in iwconfig in a terminal, this comes up

lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wmaster0 no wireless extensions.

I have really, very little experience with ubuntu, so I have no idea how to go about fixing this....
