Hey guys!
I am running Ubuntu 7.10 on a 13" MacBook, with a 20.0 GB (xbox 360) HDD, and I am itching to try KDE 4.

A few concerns are to be addressed before doing this:

1) Though I don't know why, suspend to RAM is finally working, and I'd like
to keep that going.

a. Would KDE change this?
b. Does anyone know how I can find out why suspend is working this time
and not previously?

2) As mentioned, I have only a 20.0 GB HDD (courtesy of my Xbox 360), and
memory is an issue here. The previous time I had tried KDE, much
additional space was required, and I don't have it to spare. I would
ideally like to remove Gnome, and install only the basic KDE components
and applications (or cut the fat after)

a. Can this be done easily, without possibly causing loss of personal
data?

3) Any opinions in regard to KDE vs. Gnome?
