Hi all,
I installed 8.04 (AMD64) today and decided to install xubuntu-desktop via apt-get in addition to the default Gnome desktop. I selected XFCE session from the login screen and nothing happens when I log in. It just sits there. I have to CTRL-ALT-Backspace out of it and reselect Gnome to get into a usable desktop.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
UPDATE: I disabled all desktop effects in Gnome, then logged out. Was then able to start XFCE.
