Hello, I am relatively inexperienced at Linux, and was looking to upgrade my computer to the new LTS version. After looking through the information to upgrade, it mentioned that a prompt to upgrade should appear in my Update Manager. I have checked this, and it has not appeared. Also, the guide told me to make sure that I had the proper software channel enabled, and I checked under Software properties and am pretty sure that I do.

Is there anyway I can get this request to pop up correctly?
And if not, is there a way to manually start this upgrade?

Thanks!

Hi and have you tried what was suggested here
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades
Press Alt-F2 and type gksu "update-manager -d"

I am also trying to upgrade to 6.10 from 6.06 but my system says that there are no upgrades when I input the gksu update manager -d command.
