Hey all, im not sure if this is possible, but is there a way of compiling a custom live CD?
I only want to do it, so that i can install some FPS games on it, some of the cool effects and some other linux apps.

=]
No main reason i just want to see if its passable, just came across http://www.alientrap.org/nexuiz seems cool, wanted to try it out but my Ubuntu desktop kinda blew up =[

sure it is possible to make your own live-cd
actually there are several possibilities:

uck: http://uck.sourceforge.net/
reconstructor: http://reconstructor.aperantis.com/
remastersys: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Remastersys

or the howto in the wiki:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomization?highlight=(cd)|(live)

But as all needed and changed data gets loaded into ram and stays there it might not be lots of fun running compiz, nexuiz, etc from a live-cd unless you got lots of ram and cpu.
