Hi,
If I close my laptop and allow Ubuntu to go into standby, a strange screensaver type effect occurs which will not disable when I return to work on my laptop.
When I took a screen shot, it looks normal - see attached.
The best way to describe the effect, is like vertical lines through text and icons. It makes it look like the rain effect in Windows screen saver.
