Open torrent with Firefox->Transmission

Hi.

I am having trouble with opening torrents with 3 different PC's running 8.04 on i386 and amd64 (two of them on amd64).

Sometimes when I choose to open the torrent with Firefox, it wont automatically open it. If I save the torrent to the disc and open it manually, it works just fine.

Have anyone tried to compile Transmission from source, and do that fix the problem?

AFAIK Transmission can't open the files that way. If you compile v1.10 or later you can assign a watch folder and downloading torrent files to a certain folder should be enough then.
