I have XP installed already. I'm using the LiveCd. I get this when the partitioner starts up. http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/5465/screenshot1qo2.png Now my primary boot partition is SCSI1(0,0,0), but guided wants to use SCSI2 which I tried and I get the "ubiquity" error. I tried manual, but it doesn't make sense.

Use Gparted Live CD: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php
Burn to disk and boot from it. Shrink XP and partition the freed space. Then install Ubuntu, go Manual and use the partitions you already prepared.
