I reinstalled my laptop with Gutsy, but i lost a lot of things. The thing that bugs me the most is the very bad performance of JACK, and since I use my laptop for live sets i really need <10 msecs latency.

So now i want to install gutsy next to hardy, since i like to play with the new toys. Can I just install it next to each other like XP and ubuntu? (seperate boot partition, home partition and ready to go?)

You can do it. You don't need a boot partition. You need a 'root' partition ('/')
