Hello,

I installed Hardy (clean install) and was lucky to still have my 6.06 Dapper functioning.

With Dapper I had two problems during all installations:
1. Samba had a "Workgroup" that I did NOT enter there (smb.conf)
2. OpenOffice would not work anymore due to a LibGL.so.1.2 that
was somehow broken.

I have not solved it jet for I do not know where to find this "workgroup", in Dapper there was a kind of "registry" after removing it there the problem was solved. But in Hardy I am still searching . .

Now with Hardy I encounter the same problems, after the graphic-driver was put to generic Vesa, the system was functioning again, the fglrx driver for my Radeon 9250 does not seem to work with Ubuntu, no big deal for me, but figuring it out was.

Open office is still not starting, does someone know how to fix that in Hardy? After copying another LibGLso.1.2 it broke the complete X.org,

I would ne very gratefull if someone has a solution for me.
