I am going to be taking an online class that requires Blackboard/Vista/WebCT. I am trying to get the check-if-my-browser-works check to pass for Konqueror. I have a SuSE 10.2 system running KDE3 that works fine, but Konqueror 4.03 on Ubuntu HH freezes up. I get the popup window stating that Java is being checked, but it never prints the results. The web page I am using is

http://www.bu.edu/webcentral/learning/vista/start/browser-check.html

Any suggestions appreciated. I tried putting five different paths to java in the settings, but this made little difference.

Thanks,

Brian

I am also going to be taking online courses soon, and I was checking to see if I would be able to use WebCT. I came across this page:

http://webct.pcc.edu/support/linux.html

I see your original post was from May. Were you able to do the online course?

Since I never got a reply in this forum, I never figured out what the problem was. I used my SuSE 10.2 system to take the class. Although the next version of Ubuntu is out this week, I would like to upgrade, but the upgrade button isn't lit up in Adept, so I haven't tried it.
