I'm about to install Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy onto my Hard Drive. I go through the installation procedure and everything goes fine up until about 73% 80% complete. Then the window with the progress bar simply disappears. I've tried this 3 times and the problem is replicated. The confusing thing is that I tried it about 20 minutes before that and it went without a hitch - I'm only reisntsalling because I mounted a partition wrong.
After restarting I get GRUB Error 15.

Any help greatly appreciated as my PC is now useless without a LiveCD.

EDIT: Make that about 80%. Extra nugget of info I should've mentioned. Before the problem I clicked the X on the progress bar when it was at about 15%. Could it have been half-written and caused damage? I've formatted the partition several times since though...

Doesn't matter - I've fixed it now :)

Anyone else with this problem: I fixed it by using the 8.04 alternate install disc. Not sure what the difference is but hey.

Now to figure out how to get my /home partition to work...
