how do i get the advance setting feature,i don't seem to have it in my system>appearance tray...thnx

The advanced options? what exactly are you looking for. The Custom button on the Visual effect tab?

If so go to Add/Remove Applications and search for compiz. The first one that popped up for me was Advanced Desktop Effects Settings, which will pop up the Custom button
