Hi, I own a Dell Latitude d420 wich has the option to boot from sd-card in the bootmenu. I don't have an external cd-drive or anything and the old ubuntu distro on it is kinda broken ^^. Right now i am trying to either install ubuntu to the sd-card directly from a different laptop or make the sd-card behave like the live cd, the thing is i don't have any knowledge about this and wouldn't know where to start, seeing the things i've tried ended up not even making the thing bootable i'm asking if anybody could tell me what is the best way to get this little bugger to work?

Thanks Rotterdam-era

p.s. It used to work perfectly with a thumbdrive but i don't have one.

You might be able to adapt the instructions from here (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2008/04/09/usb-ubuntu-804-installation-from-windows/) to work with your SD card reader since it's bootable.
