Hey guys

I have the broadcom chip and it worked fine with 7.10, a wired ethernet connection worked good and wireless worked great via wi-fi radar. I did the upgrade and since then neither works, the light for wireless doesn't even come on and the fact when I select my ethernet card i get a 127 ip address, I just have the local loop driver and one ethernet 1 driver under network tools and previously i had two network drivers for ethernet. I'm just curious what I need to do to get internet functionality out of this

im sorry but that wasn't helpful at all, it just talks about network-manager being the default for connecting which it has been in the past, i can't connect when im wired directly to a network as the ip address it shows is 127.0.0.1 which i know that shouldn't be.
