Hi all,
I've got a SAGEM Fast 1400W adsl router, and I'm having problems connecting to it from my ubuntu 8.04 (AMD64) on a Dell d630 (intel 3945abg).
When I connect by wire to the router, my ethernet interface works fine. It is configured to use DHCP.
My wlan0 interface cannot get a connection (no ip when configured to use dhcp, and if I configure with static IP, it does not work, if I ping the router, on 192.168.1.1 it is unreachebale). The thing is I can see the router (wicd show it). I do not have any security setting on the router. And the wifi works with Windows XP pcs I've got.
The thing is that my wifi works when I use it on other routers (at work or in a cafe....).
One last point, my router is a b grade, not g, but the network card supposedly supports this grade.
What can I check to see why it's not working? any help is appreciated.
