Are you attempting to download the Ubuntu ISO image from a Windows O/S or from a Ubuntu/linux O/S ?

If you are using Firefox browser then download directory/folder can be set under edit/preferences.

I always create a directory named "download" under my /home directory.

First off, you are bumping WAY too soon, in my opinion. Bumping after an hour is way too soon. Wait a few days before bumping.

Secondly, when you go to download, there should be an option to choose where you download to, most web browsers let you choose where to download to. If it doesn't, after you select where to download from, a location near you, cancel the download that starts, and right click the link next to "Download URL" and click save link as or something to that effect, and tell it where to download.
