Desktop freezes pressing the shut-down button

Hi, my desktop hangs when I press the shut-down button.
I have to manually restart the gdm (ctrl-alt-del).
To shut-down or to reboot the system I have to use the console.
Any ideas?

I saw exactly the same problem here in Desktop Environments yesterday. Try to find it. Guys was sayning something about enable/disable Power Manadgement.

I think is problem of the gnome settings.
I tried to delete e to recreate the button. I changed the desktop theme, swithced the video drivers, but with no luck.
