evince file menu problem

Hi all

I recently noticed that evince is missing file menu. The item is there, but when i click it I get screen wide empty white space instead of the menu (see attachment) happens only with evince.

I tried to reinstall the package , change the language to en_US , but that didn't help

Any ideas?

FIXED! Turned out that one of the previously open files had extremely long name. after opening a couple of files with more same names everything become normal again
